Bio
I am Kim Tucker and I am proud to be starting my sixth year as principal of Sewanee Elementary. I have been in education for thirty-two years. The majority of that time has been spent in school administration. I have been a principal at the elementary, middle, and high school levels. As a classroom teacher, I taught all subjects for grades 3, 4, 5, and 6 and remedial reading and math for grades 1-6. I have also worked for the Tennessee Department of Education as an educational consultant for the South Central Center of Regional Excellence. I received a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education from Middle Tennessee State University in 1988, a Master of Arts in Educational Leadership in 2003, and a Specialist in Education with a major in Instructional Leadership from Tennessee Technological University in 2013.
