Welcome to Sewanee Elementary School

Sewanee Elementary is nestled atop the scenic Cumberland Plateau in southeastern Middle Tennessee.

Part of the Franklin County School District, the school serves students in Kindergarten through 5th grade.

A Century of Learning: Sewanee Elementary Turns 100 in 2026!

Construction of the community-built school began in 1924, culminating in the opening of the doors in 1926, an event that cemented the school's central role in the community. To mark this incredible milestone, a grand Birthday Bash was held on Friday, May 8, 2026.
