Bio
As the librarian, I work closely with classroom teachers to help students learn to read and read to learn. The library provides students the unique opportunity to connect their personal lives with their in-class curriculum. Through exposure to the wide array of literary genres, students discover much about themselves and the world around them.
I am grateful to return to the mountain after having served as an educator, guidance counselor, and service-learning coordinator for a school district in central Florida and as a career advisor at the college level. I am a certified K-12 librarian with additional certifications in grades 4-6 and grades 9-12 (Psychology) and a K-12 reading specialist.
My husband is a teacher-administrator at the college. Our grown children live in Chattanooga and Raleigh and we enjoy their visits!
