WELCOME to 3rd grade!

      My name is Jalee DiBernardo and I will be your child's 3rd grade teacher! I am originally from Charlotte, NC but grew up and attended college in Atlanta, GA. I graduated from Kennesaw State University with a Bachelor's in Early Childhood Education and my M.Ed. in Instructional Technology. This will be my thirteenth year in education and my eighth year with Franklin County Schools. I taught five years in the Charlotte Mecklenburg School System before moving to Sewanee. I am excited about this upcoming year and all that it will have to offer us.

      While I am not teaching, I love to spend time with my family and friends. Some of my favorite hobbies include: watching my kids experience the world around them (Emma (2) and Hayes (5 mo), loving our sweet pup, Luna, watching my husband coach lacrosse, traveling to new places, hiking to waterfalls, gardening (well, I try!), and diving into a good book on the screen porch! I also love a nice cup of hot tea!

      I am looking forward to a wonderful, productive school year! Thank you for entrusting me with your child! I consider it an honor to teach and am excited for the growth our learners will make this year. Thank you for your support at home as well. A child's education is truly a group effort and you are my rock at home!
