I attended elementary, middle, and high school in Franklin County.  Afterwards, I was accepted into the University of Tennessee in Knoxville where I received my Bachelor's Degree.  Then, I attended South College to complete my teaching degree.

I am excited to be in my third year of teaching at Sewanee Elementary School.  This is my 13th year teaching.  My first 10 years were at an elementary school in Knoxville, TN.  I worked as a classroom teacher and intervention teacher with K-5 students.  When I moved to Sewanee Elementary, I had the experience of teachin8g third grade.  Last year, I taught second grade, and I am currently teaching first grade for the 2018-2019 school year.

I am excited to be a part of the team here at Sewanee Elementary School.  I was born and raised in Franklin County.  After high school graduation, I attended college in Knoxville, TN.  This is where my teaching experience started.  I worked at an elementary school in Knoxville for 10 years.  In 2013, I married my husband at the cross in Sewanee.  He was also born and  raised in Franklin County.  In September 2015, we were blessed with the birth of our beautiful baby Bella.  We then decided it was time to move home, so we could raise our daughter surrounded by family.  This is what brought me to Sewanee.  I am excited to be in my third year here at Sewanee Elementary.  We also welcomed our second child in September 2017.
