I attended Sewanee Elementary School, South Junior High, and St. Andrews School (St. Andrews-Sewanee). After graduation from St. Andrews, I attended Tennessee Wesleyan College in Athens, TN. I played baseball for the Bulldogs. I graduated with a B.S. degree in Health & Physical Education. In 1992, I earned my Master’s Degree in Health & Physical Education from Tennessee Technological University in Cookeville, TN.

This is my 33rd year teaching physical education. I taught ten years at South Junior High (South Middle) and I am beginning my 23rd year here at Sewanee Elementary School. While at South, I coached football, basketball, and track. I also served as Athletic Director.

This school year my goal is to promote physical activity and good health habits through a variety of activities.  Students will learn how to keep their bodies strong and healthy. They will engage in lessons that support cooperative learning, good sportsmanship, and teamwork.  It is also my goal to maintain a positive and safe learning environment.
