I live in Sewanee with my husband, Harrison, and our three daughters, Lily (7
years), Sadie (4 years), and Suzanna (3 years.) We have two dogs, Ruby
and Boo Boo, and a cat named Cinder that help make our house a home. I enjoy
spending time with my family, cleaning and organzing, and doing crafty projects. I graduated from the University of Georgia (Go Dawgs!) with a bachelor's
degree in Early Childhood Education. After graduating from college and a 6 month excursion to Lake Tahoe, CA, I accepted a position teaching 3rd grade outside of Athens, GA. I went on to teach a year of ESL and 2 years of 2nd grade. Then, my husband was offered a job in Sewanee, and we moved. I enjoyed working 2 years at the Sewanee Children's Center before accepting a position as a kindergarten teacher at Sewanee Elementary in 2012. Teaching is my passion, and I believe every child needs someone who truly cares about them. My goal, as a teacher, is to provide a safe environment where children enjoy learning, are respectful of each other, feel loved and accepted, and value their individuality.
