Effective immediately, in accordance with Governor Lee’s request, Franklin County Schools, including all extracurricular activities, will be closed through Tuesday March 31st due to continuing health concerns for the COVID-19. This date is pending any further complications or outbreaks.  At that point, the situation will be assessed to determine the needs for any further action. We encourage continuing social distancing and all other CDC recommendations.

The following are some optional opportunities for children to continue their academic progress over the next two weeks.  This link contains websites that can enhance learning for your children, and we ask parents to be involved in helping and encouraging this opportunity.  Students can also access any of their school resources or programs through CLEVER from home. Many students will be taking ACT and other tests that could affect their future, so please do everything possible to continue their academic progress.

All students are encouraged to read over the next few days. Parents, please challenge your children to find something in which they are interested, as this may lead to future endeavors.

Beginning March 23rd, we will be feeding all children ages 18 and under at no cost at most of our school sites EXCEPT North, South, and Sewanee.  Meals may be picked up from 10 a.m. -12 (noon) each weekday from March 23rd - 31st.  All children may go to any of the listed locations to receive their meals.  Children MUST be present to receive their meal. Beginning on Monday the 23rd they will receive lunch and the next day’s breakfast.  Refer to FaceBook and the Franklin County Schools website for details.
